It’s the last day of term!
Dear Primary 3. I have made you all a card to say it has been a joy teaching you all this year. It has been an unusual end to the year,  but hopefully it will soon be time to get back to normal and carry on our learning in school. Paddington’s Postcards

Paddington has sent us another postcard from his travels P3.

He is in  Nepal, which is in South Asia, near the Himalayan mountains,  close to India and China.

His postcard this month is telling us a lot about  life in Nepal.
please read as much as you can of the postcard. It tells us about Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world. Paddington also tells us about a lovely school girl he met called Shital, and what she enjoys doing at school.

He tells us about a favourite food of of the people from Nepal called Dal Bhat, which is made from lentils and rice.

Can you tell me about food you like from other countries?

Free Writing Friday

 

In Chapter 22 Mr Wonka talks about his ‘Fizzy Lifting Drinks’. They fill you with bubbles and after you drink them, you float up to ceiling like a balloon and stay there for days!
One of the Oompa Loompa’s  drank some when he was outside and he floated up into the the sky!

Imagine that you have had some of Wonka’s ‘Fizzy Lifting Drink’.   Where would you like to float to?

Write for 20 minutes, don’t worry about spelling, and tell me where you would like to float to and why.

Would it be high above your house so you can see your family and friends below and see what they are all doing? They would all look very small.

Would it be to America to float above the Statue of Liberty?

Would you like to float into space and see the stars and planets?

Would you like to float over the ocean and get a glimpse of the whales and dolphins?

Arts and Crafts 🍊🍐🍎🍌🍇🍓🍑🍒

In chapter 22 of Charlie and the chocolate factory the three remaining children get a chance to see Wonka’s amazing ‘Lickable Wallpaper’. It has bananas and pineapples and grapes and strawberries and other delicious fruit on it. When you lick it, it really tastes of all these lovely fruits! Here is a picture of it.

Your challenge is to design a lickable wallpaper for your bedroom, or kitchen or any room you want.
It can be any food you like. Draw a sheet of wallpaper and label what the food is, what it tastes like and why you would like this as a lickable wallpaper. 😋
