When you toss a coin, it could either land on the heads side or the tails side.
There are only 2 sides to a coin, so there are only 2 possible outcomes, heads or tails.
This means there is a 50% chance of the coin landing on heads and a 50% chance of the coin landing on tails.
We would say that there is a 50:50 chance for heads or tails.
1. Can you think of any other time that there might be a 50:50 chance of something happening?
2. How do we make sure it is always fair every time we toss a coin?
